I've decided I want to try dip dying the ends of my hair. In fact, it's almost become my mission in life. I figured, what the hey, I have a pretty relaxed office dress code and I'll try something temporary before going all the permanent way. I've done about an afternoon of research, spent about $60, and I think I have all the materials I need in order to achieve this without permanency/scaring my mother.
I'm going to credit The Beauty Department with the multitude of suggestions and helpful facts. I would like to also credit my google skills for helping me find the products needed in Australian online beauty/hair stores. In the end, I bought two.
From one of my favourite Australian based beauty websites, Adore Beauty, I purchased the Kevin Murphy Color Bug, which is basically a powder you put in your hair. I found a helpful tutorial, which I'm HOPING the actual application is as simple as it seems. This was only $24.95 and I was buying some peach nail polish so I figured what the hey. Let's give this a go.
The aforementioned Beauty Department alerted me to the existence of Davines Alchemic “Red”, a colouring conditioner that turns light to medium hair a temporary pale pink. UM, YES. I purchased this from salonstyle, which I've never bought anything from, so we'll see how it goes. The product itself was only $35.96 and I probably could have shopped around for a better bargain, but it's getting late and I need to be up early. Once again, it's not permanent. But you never know. I could end up getting it done for real! I'm so excited for this adventure, you have no idea.
